Boonsom Farm was established in July 1992 by taking the research on the cultivation of Spirulina by Ms. Jiamjit Boonsom, which was done in 1983, 1986, and 1989, and developing it into something concrete. The first 100-square-meter Spirulina cultivation pond was built in Tung Pi Subdistrict, Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai. Due to capital constraints, it took 15 years to invent, modify, and develop the cultivation equipment until it was complete. At present, we have a cultivation area of ​​no less than 40,000 square meters, making it the largest Thai Spirulina cultivation farm in the country. Boonsom Farm is located in the mountains of Chiang Mai Province. The average temperature throughout the year is 30 degrees Celsius, while the ideal temperature for algae growth is 25-35 degrees Celsius. It is also an area free from pollution and has clean air. The water used in the production process and the cultivation pond comes from a water source that has been inspected and accepted by the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority as clean water of drinking quality. The production process is standardized in every step, from cultivation to harvesting, which is done by filtering the water. Drying by baking at 70 degrees Celsius, then processed into various products, analyzing nutritional value and regularly detecting heavy metals under the certification of the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand, including various international quality systems. Boonsom Farm is committed to producing quality seaweed for the benefit of consumers. As a result, the company has been certified with international quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 Version 2018, Kosher and Halal under the brand name "Boonsom".
