Organic Indonesian Sambal Terasi is a medium spicy shrimp paste chili paste, second only to the Bajak recipe. It looks and tastes similar to Thai shrimp paste chili paste, which is an organic recipe from Lumlum. Use organic fermented soybeans instead of shrimp paste because they have a similar flavor and smell. They are also vegetarian and contain beneficial bacteria from the fermentation process.
